List of flat wakeskate trick types and variations 📘 + 🎥

In wakeskate, tricks are divided into several families, and many derive directly from traditional skateboarding. The names and basic concepts are practically identical, although the execution varies slightly due to the water and the board.
In addition to stance (regular or goofy, which determines whether a trick is done frontside or switch), body position relative to the direction of travel is crucial in wakeskating: heelside (weight on the heels) or toeside (weight on the tips). These two variables become crucial, especially on rails and structures.
In this article, however, we focus on flat tricks, those performed on the surface of the water without obstacles. In flat tricks, the heelside/toeside distinction is less rigid, but in competitions it is considered because toeside execution is more technical: performing a flat trick slightly on the heels or toes requires more control and provides much more aggressive pop and style.

List of wakeskate tricks in flat
Flat tricks are all those tricks performed on the surface of the water, without obstacles, kickers, or rails: just you, the board, and the smooth surface. We can divide them into a few main categories. Here's the complete list, organized by type.
Ollie tricks
The ollie is one of the first tricks you learn in wakeskating, essential for progressing with tricks. It's quick to learn, but you never stop improving. The ollie is simply the classic jump of the board off the surface of the water, but there are several variations and evolutions of the ollie.
Body Varial Tricks
In the body varial the wakeskate board remains straight without any rotation, while the body rotates on itself to one side or the other.
Shove-it tricks
In shove-its the board rotates horizontally on itself to one side or the other, while the body remains still without any rotation.
Spin tricks
In spins, the board and body rotate together in one direction or the other.
Bigspin tricks (Shuvit + Spin)
This category includes all the compound tricks in which the board makes a shuvit movement while the body rotates a spin in the same direction.
flip tricks
This category includes all tricks that involve at least one complete vertical rotation of the board on itself.
