Monsters by Oasiwake

Monsters is one of the most anticipated wakeskate events of the year in Italy. It usually takes place in October at the wakepark. Oasiwake, near Cagliari in southern Sardinia. This event is more than just a wakeskate competition, but a complete experience that combines competition, fun, and socializing. It's a unique opportunity for riders from all over Italy and Europe to participate in an exhilarating competition in a picturesque location with a unique, family-friendly atmosphere. It's also a chance to enjoy a fantastic vacation on one of the world's most captivating islands.

Registration is open to all professional and amateur participants, who are divided into categories. The competition takes place in a 2-tower System 2.0 facility, one of the longest in Italy, which gives the opportunity to show off your wakeskate skills on flats and various obstacles, but also to have fun with a series of organized activities, such as "cash for tricks" to win cash prizes.

The ticket to participate in the event at a cost that can vary from year to year, and includes three days of free access to the facility. In addition, the club offers the possibility of camping for free at the lake (places are limited). Generally, breakfast and a delicious Sardinian barbecue are also included in the price.

There will be several obstacles for the riders participating in the competition. Professional riders compete for a cash prize, while amateurs will win prizes provided by the event's sponsors, including Fattitesiwakeskates, Iriedaily Berlin, OG Labs Genetics, Good Cagliari, Old Square Cagliari and of course Wakesquare.

The first day of the event is usually dedicated to free riding, a free practice session without judges or scores. Participants will be able to train and experiment with race runs, and there are also trick tips sessions with pro riders, for those who want to improve their skills and get some pointers.

The second day is typically dedicated to qualifying for the main competition, where riders test their skills in 2 or 3 qualifying heats in order to earn a spot in the final on Sunday.

On the third day, in addition to the final for each category, free riding sessions and the long-awaited "cash for tricks" are organized. a game where all participants can earn money for each combination of tricks performed correctly, following a sort of menu organized by the judges, with various levels of difficulty. The more difficult the menu chosen, the higher the cash prize. Finally, the day ends with the awards ceremony and a sunset party on the lake shore.
